Ambrosia Salon & Spa:

Focuses On not only Making Clients Look Beautiful, but Feel Beautiful, Too!

Ambrosia Salon and Spa is located at 1214 W. Wooster St. The business has been owned and managed by Amber Krupp since 2011. Krupp had been doing hair for six years prior to the opening of Ambrosia, working at local salons and even managing one in Perrysburg. Eventually, she knew she wanted to open her own.

The name Ambrosia comes from Krupp’s first name Amber, and middle name, Rose, combined. Her mother often called her Ambrosia, and it became a childhood nickname. At Ambrosia, the stylists focus on building relationships with their clients, and giving them the best experience possible.

“My tagline is look beautiful, feel beautiful,” Krupp said. “Because I think that’s important.” Most of the stylists specialize in hair color, as the salon primarily focuses on hair and facial services. Such services include cutting, coloring, facial waxing, manicures, and gel manicures. Ambrosia also offers makeup services, bridal services, and extension services.

Men’s hair services are available as well. When it comes to prices, they are reasonable–especially since the business is in a college town. The relationships that are built at Ambrosia help set the business apart. Their service is on a personal level, so expect follow up texts including any tips you may need. Krupp loves receiving messages about clients’ experiences at her salon and spa.

“It’s a relationship,” said Krupp. “I want you walking out, feeling great, and loving the great conversation.”

There is over 60 years of combined experience between Krupp and the other stylists. They often go to hair shows and classes together.

The stylists are well- educated in new color techniques and trends, including baylayge and fashion color. The shop also exclusively carries keume color, which has soft silk technology and UV protection built into the product.

Most work can be found on Ambrosia’s Facebook page, where you can expect to find a 4.8 Star rating, as well as prices, photos, and contact information.

“Anyone can make your hair pretty,” Krupp said. “We want you to feel good, too.”
